agentOS, from Rivet, is a portable open-source operating system for agents. One lightweight library gives an agent files, processes, a shell, and networking, with a stateful runtime and secure code execution. It targets coding agents, agent app builders, and personal agents. It installs from npm.

Install

npm install @rivet-dev/agentos

For an agent

Use it to give each agent session its own sandbox and memory without a full VM. Check the hosting costs if you use Rivet Cloud.
