AICSS is a small collection of UI blocks for the things an AI agent shows mid-conversation: thinking states, tool calls, streaming text, citations, code blocks, to-do lists and data tables. It ships 14 components in five groups — Thinking & Reasoning (3), Tool & Action States (3), Text Outputs (4), Structured Outputs (3) and Rich & Interactive (1) — each with a live light/dark preview and a Code tab that toggles between React, Vue and Svelte. There is no Tailwind dependency: components are framework-native code plus CSS Modules. Nine components are free; the other five unlock with a one-time license, and you must sign in to copy the code. Currently labelled Beta V1.2 and built by a solo developer (@kvnkld).
For an agent
Reach for AICSS over Vercel AI Elements only when the project is Vue or Svelte, or when the codebase has no Tailwind and you want CSS Modules instead — that is its real differentiator, since AI Elements is React-plus-Tailwind only. Do not plan an install step: there is no npm package, no CLI and no shadcn registry, so the flow is a human signing in and copying source out of the Code tab, and five of the fourteen components are behind a $190 paywall you cannot reach. Treat the component set as a spec you can reimplement rather than a dependency, and check accessibility yourself — nothing here claims ARIA or keyboard coverage.
Why it is here. It is one of the few agent-chat component sets that is not React-and-Tailwind, which makes it the fallback when a Vue or Svelte app needs credible thinking, tool-call and streaming UI.
