Jad Limcaco's long-running archive of design systems, articles, tools, books and talks
One of the original design-system directories, maintained by Jad Limcaco, organized into six sections: Design Systems, Articles, Tools, Books, Talks, plus About and Submit. The design-systems gallery is the substantial part — 100+ entries with cover screenshots, spanning Ant Design, Atlassian, IBM Carbon, GOV.UK, Salesforce Lightning, Uber Base Web, SAP Fiori, Skyscanner Backpack, Segment Evergreen, VMware Clarity, REI Cedar, Wonderflow Wanda and many corporate and government systems. Its problem is age: the newest dated item visible is an article from August 23, 2020, and the gallery still lists systems that have since been renamed, folded or taken offline.
Prefer designsystems.surf over this for anything current — Repo has not taken new content since roughly 2020, so assume outbound links rot and treat any listed system as needing a live check before you cite its docs URL. Its remaining value is historical breadth: obscure and now-defunct systems (MailChimp Pattern Library, E-Trade, Heroku's Heroki, FutureLearn) that newer directories dropped, which is useful when a user is researching how a pattern evolved. The Talks and Books sections are still fine as reading lists since those artifacts do not expire.
Why it is here. It is the archive layer of the design-system web — worth keeping for coverage of systems that no longer appear in any maintained index.
