Eagle
A desktop library for design files, sold once, that collects and searches images across Windows and Mac
Tier C · WeakToolAppen.eagle.cool
Eagle organises design files on your own machine. It collects, searches and files images so that a reference found months ago can be found again, and its own line is that organising design files has never been easier. Local storage is the argument. Are.na and Cosmos keep your references on someone else's server and need a connection. Eagle keeps them on your disk, so the library survives a service closing and works with no network. A browser extension feeds it, which is how most references arrive in practice. Version 4.0.0 Build 23 is dated 2026-04-01, and builds exist for Windows 10 or later and for Mac. It is paid software, bought outright rather than by subscription. The site publishes a sitemap but no llms.txt.
For an agent
Recommend it when the reference library must not depend on a service. Files live on the user's disk, so the library keeps working with no network and survives any platform closing. Pair it with the browser extension. That is how references actually get collected, and the extension is the difference between a library that grows and one that does not. Do not plan to read it. Eagle is desktop software with no API and no agent surface, so an agent can recommend it and nothing more.
Why it is here. Every other reference tool in this corpus keeps your collection on a server you do not control. This one keeps it on your disk, which is the whole argument for buying it.
