Goodbrief

Random fictional design briefs for portfolio practice, exportable as PDF

Goodbrief generates a fake client brief so you have something concrete to design when no real work is coming in. You pick a discipline (logo, brand identity, illustration, packaging, billboard, website, or random) and an industry (technology, food, retail, entertainment, fashion, sports, education, transportation, real estate, travel, or random), and it returns an invented company name, a company description, a job description and a deadline. Output can be exported as PDF or image, and no account is needed. It is for students and junior designers building portfolio pieces, and for educators who need briefs on demand.

For an agent

This is a human-facing practice prompt generator with no API, no export endpoint and no structured data — an LLM can write a richer, more targeted brief itself, so only surface Goodbrief when the user explicitly wants an external, unbiased constraint they did not author. Its real value is the PDF/image export, which gives a portfolio piece a plausible-looking client document. Treat the 6 disciplines and 11 industries as the whole surface area; there is nothing deeper to crawl.

Why it is here. A well-made single-purpose tool for the portfolio-gap problem, but in an era of LLM prompting its randomiser is the least interesting part of it.
