A single-purpose web app that checks whether a username is free on more than 100 social media and developer platforms, updating results live as you type rather than after a submit. It is the handle-side companion to a domain check when you are locking down a new brand identity. The source is open on GitHub (React, GPL-3.0, 225 stars) but that repository was archived on 2024-04-01, so the hosted site is running frozen code.

Hand this to the user as a link — do not try to fetch or scrape it, because Cloudflare returns 403 to non-browser clients (verified). Use it as the second half of a naming check right after a domain lookup: a name is only safe when the .com and the main handles are both free. Treat its verdicts as advisory, not authoritative: the upstream repo has been archived since April 2024, so platform checks that changed their signup endpoints since then can report a stale answer, and it will not know about any platform launched after that date.
