Islands Dark
Dark VS Code theme with floating glass-like panels, rounded corners, and a pill activity bar
Islands Dark is a dark theme for VS Code-compatible editors, including VSCodium. It takes inspiration from the easemate IDE and the JetBrains islands theme. The theme floats panels on a deep dark canvas, adds glass-effect borders with a directional light, rounds every panel, and uses a pill-shaped activity bar. It has more than 8,500 GitHub stars.
Use it to study how floating panels and soft borders change a dense tool interface. Some effects need custom CSS injection, so read the install steps before you apply it.
Why it is here. It shows the floating-panel style that many new IDEs use, inside a familiar editor.
