OS3A is a browsable front-end over ToxSam's CC0 re-release of Polygonal Mind's 2018-2023 metaverse project assets: 991 GLB models across 18 named packs, all CC0-1.0. The site adds a gallery with filtering, a model finder, and a GLB Inspector that reports geometry, materials, and validation for any file you drop in. Model files and thumbnails are served straight from GitHub raw, so nothing is gated behind an account. It is for game, WebGL, WebXR, and VRChat builders who need drop-in props and environments with no licence homework.

Hit https://www.opensource3dassets.com/api/assets directly: one unauthenticated GET returns all 991 records with name, direct GitHub raw modelFileUrl, thumbnail, file_size, and trait tags (Category, Style, Rigging, Animations, Polycount), which is enough to filter and download programmatically. Content skews hard to architecture (307) and nature (111) props from VRChat worlds, so reach for it when you need environment dressing rather than characters — the only rigged creature set is the 60-model 'xyz' pack.

Why it is here. One of the few places where a large, coherent, genuinely CC0 GLB library is exposed as clean JSON rather than a marketplace funnel. The GLB Inspector alone saves a round-trip to a desktop DCC tool.
