Remix Icon
3,231 neutral 24x24 system icons in Line and Fill, under a custom non-OSI licence
Tier A · StrongIcon Setremixicon.com

Remix Icon is a system icon set of 3,231 SVGs drawn on a 24x24 grid, every glyph available in both Outlined and Filled styles, organised into 20 categories (System 348, Logos 300, Media 296, Document 244, Design 236, Business 220, Device 192, Arrows 178, Map 172, Finance 172, Editor 151, User & Faces 134, Others 116, Communication 92, Health & Medical 84, Weather 82, Development 66, Buildings 62, Game & Sports 50, Food 34). It ships as an npm package with individual SVGs and an icon webfont, plus a jsDelivr CDN stylesheet. As of January 2026 it is no longer Apache-2.0: it moved to a custom Remix Icon License v1.0 that permits commercial use and modification but forbids reselling the icons as a standalone pack, building a competing icon library from them, or using any icon as a logo or brand mark.
npm install remixiconFor an agent
Choose Remix Icon when a product needs both a Line and a Fill version of the same glyph for selected/unselected states — that pairing is complete across all 3,231 icons, which Lucide and Feather cannot give you. Read the licence before you commit: the Apache-2.0 that most tutorials and older index entries still cite was replaced in January 2026 by a custom licence, so anything you build that is itself an icon pack, a design-asset marketplace listing, or a brand mark is now prohibited even though ordinary app and website use is fine. Pull names from the npm package's `icons/<Category>/` folders; remixicon.com renders client-side and returns nothing but a title to a plain fetch.
Why it is here. It is the most complete free Line/Fill pair set at this scale, which makes it the practical default for tab bars and any UI with selected-state icons. The 2026 relicensing is a genuine trap for anyone copying old advice.
