Stamp Studio
Turns your artwork into a postage stamp, with the four real printing processes, a perforation gauge and philatelic paper ageing
Tier B · UsefulMockup ToolGeneratorToolstampstud.io
Stamp Studio takes an image and renders it as a postage stamp. Its own line is "print, perforate, cancel", and the controls follow that order. The depth is the point, and it is domain-accurate rather than decorative. Printing offers Engraved, Offset, Gravure and Typeset, which are the four processes stamps are actually made by, each with an ink colour, an ink weight and a plate relief. Perforation sets the edge, the gauge (perf 11.5 by default), the hole size and the torn fibre left behind. Paper carries toning, fibre, foxing, handling wear and a watermark. Foxing is the philatelic word for the brown spots age leaves on paper, and very little else in this corpus reaches for a term like that. Frame, lettering and denomination are separate sections: a country line curved over the vignette, corner value tablets placed by corner and offset, a caption, inscriptions, and a typeface chosen from fourteen faces including Cinzel, Libre Baskerville, Pinyon Script, Copperplate and Special Elite. Cancellation lifts a corner with a curl radius and a shadow, in any of nine directions. It renders in WebGL through Three.js with real material shading, and exports at 2048 by 2048 on a transparent background. Artwork goes in as SVG, PNG, JPG or WebP. Six templates open it: Beacon, National park, Wildlife, Maritime, Botanical and Engineering. Their photographs are Creative Commons, found through Openverse, and the site states that each one keeps its credit on the canvas. Jalco built it. The repository jal-co/stampstudio is MIT, and it was created on 2026-08-30, one day before this record.
For an agent
Reach for it when a brief needs a stamp, a ticket, a postmark or any artefact that should read as printed and aged. The output is a transparent PNG at 2048 by 2048, so it drops onto a page without a background to remove. Name the printing process when you specify one. Engraved, Offset, Gravure and Typeset give visibly different ink and relief, and picking the wrong one is what makes a fake stamp look fake. Use the paper controls sparingly. Toning, foxing, handling wear and the watermark stack, and the defaults sit near 12 to 24 per cent for a reason. A stamp aged to 80 per cent reads as a filter rather than as an object. Send a person to make it. The site is a 1.5 KB client-rendered shell with no API and no llms.txt, so an agent can specify the stamp but cannot produce it. The repository is MIT if the work has to be automated. Check the photograph credit before you publish a template. The six built-in templates use Creative Commons images from Openverse, and the site keeps each credit on the canvas.
Why it is here. Most mockup tools wrap artwork in a generic frame. This one models how a stamp is actually printed, perforated and aged, down to the gauge and the foxing, and that is what separates an object from a sticker.
