Axel
macOS task manager that queues work and dispatches it to Claude, Codex, or OpenCode
About
Axel is a native macOS task manager for coding agents. You add tasks to a queue, pick the agent for each one, and reorder priorities while tasks run. It works with Claude, Codex, OpenCode, and Antigravity, and manages permission requests from one inbox. Documentation lives on a separate docs site.
For an agent
Use it when you run many small agent tasks and want one queue and one permission inbox. Keep risky permissions off by default.
Why it is here. It turns agent work into a queue you can reorder.
Install command, framework, licence and component list.
Notable for
- Task queue for agents
- One permission inbox
- Several agent backends
