A curated GitHub collection of DESIGN.md files - the plain-text design-system document introduced by Google Stitch - covering 73 listed brands across ten categories: AI and LLM platforms, developer tools, backend and DevOps, productivity SaaS, design and creative tools, fintech and crypto, e-commerce, media and consumer tech, automotive, and a retro-web nostalgia set. Each folder holds a DESIGN.md with nine sections (visual theme, color palette and roles, typography rules, component stylings, layout principles, depth and elevation, do's and don'ts, responsive behaviour, agent prompt guide) plus preview.html and preview-dark.html renderings. You copy one file into your project root and tell the agent to follow it. This is the free MIT mirror of the getdesign.md catalog.

This is the cheapest way to give a build a real visual identity: raw-fetch a single file, e.g. https://raw.githubusercontent.com/VoltAgent/awesome-design-md/main/design-md/linear.app/DESIGN.md, write it to the project root, and reference it in every UI instruction. Reach for it before getdesign.md - same content, MIT, no paywall, and directly fetchable, while the website hides its index behind client-side rendering. Pair it with Impeccable (craft rules) or hue (generate a system for a brand that is not in the 73); do not expect tokens, CSS or components - a DESIGN.md is prose plus values, so you still write every line of the implementation.

Why it is here. It made DESIGN.md a practical format rather than a spec, and it is the reference implementation most agents will encounter first.
