cmux is a free and open-source native macOS terminal built on Ghostty for multitasking with AI coding agents. It has vertical tabs, notification rings when an agent needs attention, and programmable organization. It works with Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Kiro, Aider, and any CLI tool.

For an agent

Use it if you run several agents in terminals and miss their prompts. The notification rings show which agent waits for input.
