fontain calls itself "a font-collection (and a font-collection-system)". It shows 48 libre fonts on one page, each set in the same editable line of text. Eight classifications filter the sheet: Calligraphic, Blackletter, Serif, Sans-Serif, Script, Decorative, Monospaced and Pixel. A size control and a reset control sit beside them. The point is comparison. You type once and read the same words in 48 faces, rather than opening 48 specimen pages. The collection holds well-known libre faces such as Playfair Display, Fira Code, Inconsolata, Source Code Pro, PT Serif, Raleway, Junicode and Dancing Script, beside rarer ones such as Manifont Grotesk, Pressuru, GrobeDeutschmeister and osifont. The source is public at lafkon/fontain with 49 stars. The last push was 31 January 2023, so the project is dormant.
