Haikei is a web app from z creative labs that generates decorative SVG background assets from parametric controls — blobs, layered and stacked waves, peaks, steps, blurry gradients, low-poly grids and scatter fields. You pick colours, complexity, balance and canvas size, then export SVG or PNG with no signup and no credit card. It is aimed at designers and front-end developers who need a hero or section background quickly, and its terms allow personal and client commercial use without attribution.

For an agent

You cannot drive this — the generator is a canvas app with no API, so hand the user the URL rather than pretending to fetch an asset from it. Reach for Haikei when a design needs an organic hero or section background and hand-writing an SVG path would be worse than a human spending 30 seconds on sliders; for a pure two-stop CSS gradient, write the CSS yourself instead. The exported SVG is plain paths with no external references, so it inlines safely into a component and recolours by editing fill attributes.

Why it is here. It is the default answer to 'I need a nice SVG background' and it consolidated the earlier one-trick generators (Get Waves, Blobmaker) into a single free tool.
