HeroUI Pro is the commercial layer on top of open-source HeroUI: 65 documented React (web) components and 47 React Native components, plus premium themes, Figma libraries and full-page templates. It covers the parts HeroUI OSS does not — DataGrid, Kanban, Agenda calendar, MapLibre map, KPI widgets, Recharts-based charts, a Tiptap rich text editor, command palette, and a full AI chat set (chain of thought, chat message, tool cards, prompt input, markdown/streaming). It targets React 19 + Tailwind CSS v4 and ships an authenticated CLI, two MCP servers, agent skills and llms.txt files. Currently in the 1.0.0-beta line.

For an agent

Reach for this over shadcn/ui when the project already sits on HeroUI v3 and needs the heavy pieces — DataGrid with virtualization and pinned columns, Kanban, Agenda calendar, MapLibre map, KPI widgets — or when the same product must ship a React Native twin from one design system. It is licensed and CLI-gated: `heroui-pro login` needs a GitHub account with a valid seat, so an agent without credentials can read the docs (llms.txt, MCP, agent skills, Copy Markdown on every page) but cannot install. Import order matters (tailwindcss, then @heroui/styles, then @heroui-pro/react/css), several components pull optional peers (maplibre-gl, @tiptap/*, recharts, shiki, embla), and the whole line is still 1.0.0-beta, so pin versions.

Why it is here. It is one of the few paid component vendors that builds for agents on purpose — llms.txt per platform, unified MCP servers, published agent skills and a design-taste guide — while covering web and native from one token system. That combination is rare enough to justify the license cost on a serious product.
