M3E Canvas
Browser canvas that turns Material 3 Expressive screen sketches into prompts for AI coding tools
M3E Canvas is a free browser editor for Material 3 Expressive screens by inori (lnkiai). You drag in parts such as buttons, FABs, app bars, navigation bars, cards, lists, dialogs, and text fields. Then you link screens with tap and swipe transitions and test them in a preview. A theme panel covers the four Material 3 Expressive axes: color, shape, type, and motion. The output is a short prompt in English, Japanese, Chinese, or Korean for Android or the web. You paste it into Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, or Cursor. An agent.md file lets a coding agent write a design and reply with a share link. The app has no backend and saves to localStorage. It uses the MIT license and has about 9,200 GitHub stars.
Use it to sketch an Android or web app in Material 3 Expressive before you give the build to a coding agent. Link the screens and add a note to each part, because the notes go into the prompt. To let an agent draft a design, point it at https://lnkiai.github.io/m3e-canvas/agent.md. The agent writes the design as a JSON document and replies with a share link that opens on the canvas. Read the generated prompt before you paste it, and edit it if needed.
Why it is here. It turns a quick visual sketch into an exact build prompt, so a coding agent gets the layout, flow, and theme instead of a vague description.
