Reverse UI is a paid pack of 68 heavily animated React components — shader orbs, particle fields, dithered backgrounds, dock and radial navigation, a command-K palette, a fake terminal, an AI chat mock. Each component ships as source in a Tailwind CSS or Emotion (CSS-in-JS) flavour and depends on Framer Motion. Nineteen components are free to copy without an account; the paid tiers add a private GitHub repo and lifetime updates. It suits marketing and landing pages that need spectacle, not product UI that needs a11y and states.
Reach for this only when a human has bought a licence and points you at the private repo — there is no CLI, no shadcn registry, and no npm package, so you cannot install it, and the free 19 must be copied by hand from the site. Prefer Magic UI or Aceternity for the same visual genre if the project has no licence, since those install from a registry. When you do use it, check which flavour the file is: the Emotion version drags a CSS-in-JS runtime into a project that may already be all-Tailwind.
Why it is here. A well-executed but closed animated-component pack whose distribution model — copy-paste and a private repo — makes it awkward for anything automated.
