Stitch by Google Labs
Google Labs' AI interface designer, driven by adjectives, that outputs editable Figma files and HTML with CSS
Tier A · StrongAI ToolGeneratorToolstitch.withgoogle.com
Stitch is Google Labs' AI interface design tool. It generates high-fidelity UI from a natural language prompt, a sketch, or a set of mood adjectives, and it outputs editable Figma files and frontend HTML and CSS. The tool splits itself into two ideas. Vibe Design turns an aesthetic description into a visual system: adjectives like playful, industrial, Japandi or retro-futurist drive the styling, and a phrase like warm and inviting or trustworthy and clinical generates a colour scheme and a typographic hierarchy. It then harmonises the generated imagery, icons and components against that theme. Vibe Coding is the other half: a prompt becomes semantic HTML and CSS, refinement happens through conversation rather than editing, and a rough hand-drawn sketch converts to a coded interface. Working from adjectives is the unusual part. Most AI design tools take a functional brief. This one takes the words a client actually uses, which is where a real conversation about design starts.
For an agent
Feed it adjectives, not specifications. The tool is built to take words like playful, industrial or Japandi and turn them into a palette and a type hierarchy, which is the opposite of how most AI design tools expect a brief. Take the Figma export when a designer continues the work, and the HTML and CSS export when a developer does. The site states both are produced, and the Figma output is editable rather than flattened. Use sketch-to-UI for an existing drawing. Uploading a rough sketch is a documented path, so a whiteboard photograph is a valid starting point. Expect a Labs product. It is marked as an experiment, so treat availability and limits as subject to change.
Why it is here. Clients describe design in adjectives and tools demand specifications. This one closes that gap directly, and it hands back an editable Figma file rather than a picture.
