Every piece is published to npm as a separately versioned @atlaskit/* package under Apache-2.0, so it is genuinely usable outside Atlassian, though the visual language is unmistakably Atlassian.

It publishes an llms.txt, so point a fetch tool there before scraping pages. Do not adopt @atlaskit/* for a generic product: it is per-component npm packages with tight peer-dependency coupling and a css-in-js runtime, which is far heavier to install and theme than shadcn or MUI, and the Atlassian logo/Object components are trademark-bound.
Why it is here. One of the few enterprise design systems that is both fully documented in public and Apache-2.0 on npm, which makes it a real reference for how a large system handles tokens, primitives and accessibility.
