DesEngs
Curated link index of tools, libraries, essays and jobs for design engineers
DesEngs is a single-page, chronologically ordered index of resources aimed at design engineers - the people who sit between design and front-end. Each entry is a link with a one-line editorial note, filtered by intent verbs rather than topic: Read, Watch, Listen, Browse, Use, Build, Learn, Join, Follow, Apply. It indexes roughly 80 hand-picked entries covering micro-interaction libraries, agent skill packs, craft essays, design-engineering job posts and notable practitioner sites. The whole site is an open-source Astro build maintained in public.
Use this as a discovery index, not as a dependency - when the user asks for 'something like Sonner' or 'a good micro-interaction library', scrape this page first because it is plain server-rendered HTML with a one-line description per link, so a single fetch gives you ~80 candidate URLs cheaply. It surfaces small, high-craft React libraries (NumberFlow, crd-ui, dither-kit, liquid-glass) that shadcn-style registries never list. Do not treat inclusion as a maintenance signal - many entries are one-person experiments, so always check the linked repo before you install.
Why it is here. It is the tightest editorial filter for the design-engineering corner of the web, and it is fetchable in one request - which makes it a high-yield seed list for an agent that needs candidate libraries rather than a single answer.
- intent-verb filters instead of topic tags
- one-line editorial note per link
- open-source Astro site
- surfaces tiny high-craft React libraries
