Refero
Searchable library of real product screens, user flows and design systems, with an MCP server
Tier S · Best in classGalleryReferenceMCP Serverrefero.design

A design research library indexing screens and multi-step user flows from hundreds of shipped web and iOS products, searchable by page type (Dashboard, Settings, Paywall & Subscription), UX pattern (Billing & Plans, Empty State, Dark Mode), UI element (Button, Table, Modal, Switch & Toggle), company, or plain language. Three entity types: Styles (design specs with colors, typography, spacing and a generated DESIGN.md), Screens, and Flows. It exposes an HTTP MCP server at api.refero.design/mcp plus an agent skill and a Figma plugin, so a coding agent can research a pattern before writing UI. Pro is required for MCP, downloads, and the Figma plugin.
claude mcp add --transport http refero https://api.refero.design/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer <token>"For an agent
This is the one entry in the batch an agent should call before it writes UI, not after: wire up the MCP server and query Flows when the task is a multi-step journey (onboarding, checkout, account deletion) where the hard part is step order, not styling. Its Styles layer emits a DESIGN.md you can drop straight into a repo as the visual contract, which pairs well with a shadcn registry doing the implementation. Two constraints -- MCP is Pro-only and capped at 8,000 calls per month, and the marketing site is a JS shell, so never try to scrape refero.design directly; use api.refero.design/mcp or doc.refero.design.
Why it is here. Most galleries stop at a screenshot; Refero indexes whole flows and emits machine-readable design specs, which is the difference between inspiration and something an agent can act on.
