Preline UI
Free Tailwind library with 640+ examples, 204 blocks and documented plugin wiring
Tier B · UsefulComponent LibraryBlock CollectionTemplatepreline.co

Preline UI is an open-source Tailwind CSS component set built on a vanilla-JS plugin, covering roughly 73 component families across layout, forms, overlays, navigation and tables — which Preline markets as 640+ ready-made examples plus 204 free blocks and 5 free templates. Its distinguishing feature is the third-party integration layer: documented wiring for advanced select, datatables, charts, maps, datepickers and rich text editors that most free libraries leave to you. Preline Pro adds 780+ blocks and 21 templates (207 pages) as a one-time purchase.
npm i preline && npm i -D @tailwindcss/formsFor an agent
Choose Preline when the build needs the awkward widgets — a searchable advanced select, a datatable, a chart, a map, a rich text editor — because it documents the third-party wiring instead of leaving you to integrate Choices.js or ApexCharts yourself; daisyUI and Flowbite both stop short of that. Read the licence before copying: it is dual MIT + 'Preline UI Fair Use License', and redistribution is explicitly forbidden on both free and paid tiers, so never emit Preline markup into a component library or template you intend to publish. The '640+ components' figure is marketing for example variants — the real surface is about 73 component families, so verify a component exists in the docs before you assume it.
Why it is here. The free Tailwind library with the widest integration surface, and the one whose licence has a redistribution trap that an agent copy-pasting blocks will otherwise walk straight into.
