Dribbble is the original designer shot-sharing community: small, cropped, portfolio-grade visuals of UI, branding, illustration and motion, ranked by likes. Browsing is public and filters exist by category (Product Design, Web Design, Animation, Branding, Illustration, Mobile, Typography, Print), by 90+ colour swatches and by timeframe. Saving, contacting and hiring require an account, and PRO / PRO+ memberships gate the professional features. The v2 API is deliberately narrow — it authenticates a designer to list their own shots and does not expose public search — so there is no legitimate programmatic path into the corpus.
For an agent
Be blunt with the user: an agent cannot use Dribbble. A plain HTTP fetch returns 202 with an empty body, the content is a rendered image feed with no extractable structure, every shot is a designer's copyrighted work with no reuse licence, and the v2 API only returns your own shots. Send a human here for visual taste on branding and illustration, then reach for Page Flows or Mobbin when the need is an actual product flow, and for a component registry when the need is code.
Why it is here. It defined what a design portfolio shot looks like, and its aesthetic-over-usability bias is exactly why 'dribbbleisation' became a critique — worth knowing, not worth building from.
