- 01Feed item preview — title, excerpt or thumbnail sufficient to judge whether the item is worth opening
- 02Author — the name and avatar of the person who created or posted each item
- 03Timestamps — when each item was published or last updated, switching from relative to exact time as items age
- 04Engagement actions — like, comment, share, save or react, sized by prominence and frequency of use
- 05New content indicator — a banner or button when new items have been posted since the user loaded the feed
- 06Filtering — controls for narrowing to a category, content type or followed accounts, with active filters indicated
- 07Pagination or infinite scroll — a mechanism for loading more items as the user reaches the bottom
- 08Empty state — for no connections, no activity, or an empty filter result
