Matte is a native Swift app for macOS 15+ (Apple Silicon) that records the iOS simulator, a tethered iPhone or iPad, the iPhone Mirroring window, or any macOS screen or window, then edits the take in a multitrack timeline. It ships device bezels for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, Auto Zoom, tap and swipe indicators, cursor styling, motion blur, background gallery, up to 5 text tracks, and Whisper-based captions transcribed entirely on-device. Export is 4K HEVC, H.264, ProRes, GIF or PNG stills, with alpha-channel support for transparent compositing. Built for indie developers and app marketers producing App Store previews, launch videos and changelog clips without opening After Effects.
