Flowbite
56+ MIT Tailwind components with vanilla-JS behaviour, plus a paid 450+ block library
Tier A · StrongComponent LibraryBlock CollectionTemplateflowbite.com
Flowbite is an open-source Tailwind CSS component library covering over 56 component types with dark mode built in, and unlike CSS-only alternatives it ships a small vanilla-JS package that drives dropdowns, modals, drawers, datepickers and tooltips. The core library is MIT on npm; Flowbite Pro is a separate one-time purchase adding 450+ marketing and application sections plus fully coded pages and a Figma design system. Official wrappers exist for React, Vue, Svelte and Angular, so the same markup travels across stacks.
npm install flowbiteFor an agent
Pick Flowbite over daisyUI when the user needs working interactive behaviour — dropdowns, modals, drawers, a datepicker — without adding React, because Flowbite ships the vanilla-JS controllers daisyUI deliberately omits. Remember to both `npm install flowbite` and register the plugin/content path, and to import flowbite.js or nothing interactive will fire; in React/Vue prefer the official flowbite-react / flowbite-vue wrappers over the raw data-attribute API. The free tier is genuinely MIT and complete for components — only the 450+ page sections and coded templates sit behind Flowbite Pro, so do not copy Pro block markup into a project.
Why it is here. The most practical free option when a non-React stack needs Tailwind components that actually behave, filling the gap between CSS-only daisyUI and React-only shadcn.
